Life Is Butter Dream…

Brittany Salted Butter

Cast your mind back to March. To a time when I wasn’t cooped up in this increasingly humid sauna of a destination. Back to when I was free as a bird, and roaming the snow-covered mountains in Åre, Sweden. Well. Attempting to ski over them. But that’s not the point. The point, and the particular thing I want to bring to forefront of your minds is number 8 in my top ten highlights from the trip. The Bregott Sea Salt Butter. The butter of my dreams. So creamy, yet crunchy. Perfect in every way. Butter in heaven format. Oooft. I want it. I want it now.

Well here’s the fabulous news – I FOUND IT! Well not actual Bregott butter, but the next best thing – Waitrose Brittany butter with sea salt crystals. I can’t even express how happy I was when my brother spotted the stuff. I swear it’s just as good as the one in Sweden. It makes me feel all nostalgic. Bring on Sweden 2015!

So here is what you should probably do ASAP:

  • Step 1: Journey on down to your nearest Waitrose.
  • Step 2: Locate and purchase said butter.
  • Step 3: Spread on a chunky piece of crusty bread, or a cracker, or anything that takes your fancy.
  • Step 4: Melt away into buttery bliss.

You’re welcome. I can’t beleive I have dedicated an entire post to butter. Paula Dean, eat your heart out.

p.s. In case you wanted to know – my black eye is actually turning a beauteous shade of yellow these days, which is rather on topic since butter is yellow. Good story, Harry.

I like salted butter – but I also adore unsalted butter, straight from the fridge, cut in a slice and placed on rye bread (my uncle used to feed me this).
